Russo Cellars

There Russo family's winemaking tradition it has been passed down from father to son until today.
Towards the end of the 1800s the great-great-grandfather Vincenzo Russo he devoted himself, together with his family, to cultivation of its own vineyards located in the Solicchiata area, Municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia at approximately 700 m above sea level on the north-eastern slope of Etna.

In 1955, Francesco and Vincenzo, respectively the son and grandson of the great-great-grandfather Vincenzo, they decided to bottle the wine produced from the family vineyards by creating a small cellarThe first wine was called Sunbathing and it was 1956; the DOC Etna certification was recognized in 1968, the same year in which the brand changed its name to Rusvini up to the current brand which is Russo Cellars.

Today the fourth generation is represented by Gina and Francesco Russo who together with his father Vincenzo they manage thehistoric family business. Etna, a volcano of excellence.

There is a invisible umbilical cord that unites us to theEtna and the territory. We have strongly believed in the potential of wine produced from native vines, for the type of grapes and theuniqueness of the terroir. The passion and dedication for the land every day they guide our choices on a path made of great emotions, to reach destinations of excellence. Sips of life that make our days unique, with the joy in the heart to see those fruits grow which we have always intensely loved to cultivate.
