Valley of the Temples Farm
The Terre del Barone Agricultural Company, owner of the brand Valley of the Temples Farm, arises in the heart of the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, in fertile lands cultivated for millennia thanks to the abundance of fresh water.
For over 650 years, these lands were passed down among the barons of Agrigento. Since 2021, management has been transferred to Terre del Barone Srl, which has revived the 21 hectares Luigi Pirandello called it "the forest of almond and olive trees." After more than 40 years of abandonment, a restoration project has been launched: crops converted to organic and ancient local varieties brought back into production.
The mission is clear: safeguarding the heritage of the past and projecting ourselves into the future, embodying a model of agroecological agriculture that combines sustainability, identity, and innovation.
From 2025 the Valley of the Temples It is recognized as an Italian historic rural landscape, thanks to over 300 hectares that preserve almond groves, olive groves, water sources, and ancient agricultural knowledge.
The products branded Fattoria Valle dei Templi are the expression of this heritage: extra virgin olive oil, fragrant citrus fruits, lemon and orange compotes and syrups, dates with Bronte DOP pistachios.
