Right here the exceptional microclimate of this area, the cool and humid cellars where the product matures and refines for 30 months in oak barrels, and the skilful art of winemaking that the company has handed down since 1833, give this versatile wine a unique personality and a well-defined identity that make him inimitable.
Marsala Superiore Vecchio Florio is a fortified wine with an amber yellow color with gold reflections of great shine. The aroma is characteristic and fine, with hints of raisins, broom, and medicinal herbs, then turning towards tertiary notes of melted butter and sweet spicy vanilla in a great balance which is also confirmed when tasted, warm, decisive and enveloping , consistent in the aromas and in the multiple notes of dried fruit that accompany a long savory trail.
Marsala Superiore Vecchio Florio is an excellent dessert wine, it pairs well with dry pastries, almond brittle or mature cheeses.
Founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio, the Cantine Florio of Marsala overlook the sea of western Sicily.
