“del Grillo” Sicilian Organic Tomato Puree is obtained from organically grown tomatoes.

The tomato from the Organic Sicilian Tomato Sauce , called siccagno, is ripened without irrigation and develops only with the natural humidity brought by the temperature range between day and night. Once the right level of ripeness has been reached, it is harvested and selected by hand.
Cooking takes place at low temperatures to keep the organoleptic properties of the raw material and the final product unaltered. Finally, when the product is bottled, pasteurization takes place to guarantee its shelf life over time, without the addition of preservatives.

The Grillo farm, producer of Organic Sicilian Tomato Passata , is a family-run business that has 92 hectares of land located in the province of Trapani. The Grillo family, for three generations, has been involved in the cultivation of their land, using exclusively organic methods, in particular, numerous hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards with native grapes; a small part is intended for olive groves, of the Nocellara del Belìce and Cerasuola varieties; a considerable area is reserved for the cultivation of a vegetable garden and various fruit trees; finally, a small plot of the company is dedicated to the production of durum wheat.
