With the experimentation on Moscato dello Zucco, the Cossentino winery has brought this variety back to the island, enhancing it with a unique wine of its kind.

History and Curiosities:

The name Muscarò of our Organic Muscarò Moscato delle Rose Wine derives from the primary aroma of rose that characterizes this aromatic grape variety, of the bluish-black colored berry.

Organic Muscarò Moscato delle Rose wine is part of the Muscat family, aromatic vines whose name derives from " muscum ", musk, whose characteristic aroma is found in the grapes and which probably corresponds to the " anathelicon moschaton " of the Greeks. The grapes have a marked aroma and a high geraniol content and are vinified mostly after drying, to obtain sweet and/or liqueur wines.

The almost impenetrable garnet color with violet reflections of our organic Muscarò Moscato delle Rose wine leaves room for an intense, complex and fine sense of smell which is expressed with notes of honey and small red fruits in jam which are accompanied by floral, balsamic and fig hints dried.

The sip of Organic Muscarò Moscato delle Rose Wine is sweet, soft, dense and silky, the good freshness gives persistence and drinkability.

• Smell: On the nose an explosion of floral scents in which notes of rose prevail, but also of violets, red fruit jam, honey, dried figs and balsamic notes.
• Taste: On the palate it is sweet but not too much, it has a balanced acidity and a more than velvety tannin which gives the palate roundness and freshness.
• Pairing : Moscato Rosa is a very particular sweet wine that ranges from being an aperitif wine to a meditation wine . It is an excellent accompaniment for dry chocolate cakes, berry tarts and cocoa-based desserts .
