The Lisciandrello company, producer of the Lapis Carricante Chardonnay Doc Sicilia White Wine , is a young Sicilian winery that produces its wines in the Cerasa winery, located 500 meters above sea level in San Giuseppe Jato, in the province of Palermo. The great advantage of this pulsating reality is that it has maintained an exquisitely artisanal dimension, where the indispensable is what is strictly necessary to obtain oenological results of a high quality level. Ownership is shared by a team: Giuseppe Lisciandrello, former winemaker and wine connoisseur, Luciano Tocco, expert winemaker, and Federico Curtaz, established Aosta Valley winemaker. The Lisciandrello winery produces wines with the Terre Siciliane IGT denomination, mainly from native varieties, with Perricone and Nerello Mascalese for the reds, while the whites are made from Catarratto, Chardonnay and Carricante grapes. The appreciation from critics and enthusiasts arrived quickly, thanks to products capable of transmitting all the essence of that exceptional corner of Sicily into the glass.

The harvest:

The harvest took place at the end of October, the Etna temperature variations in fact give a later maturation, giving the grapes a marked acidity.

Winemaking:

After harvesting in the Etna area, the grapes are transported to the cellar in Cerasa, cooled in a cold room, fermented and refined in tonneaux.

Tasting Notes:

Straw yellow with greenish reflections, with an intense aroma of herbaceous and musky notes, walnut husk. On the palate a savory and mineral impact, with hints of freshly cut grass.
