Bausa Red Wine is a full-bodied and rich red wine made from Nero d'Avola grapes grown in the Trapani area. Warm, powerful and Mediterranean, like its Sicily, it is an expression of great character and structure, which, after aging for 18 months in tonneau, releases intense aromas of sweet spices, such as nutmeg and cloves, tobacco, ripe red fruit and marine puffs

The Bausa Red Wine is one of the flagship red wines of Cantine Fina, a beautiful company that operates in the splendid coastal area between Trapani and Marsala. Founded in 2005 from the desire to enhance a territory of ancient traditions, Cantine Fina immediately focused on quality wines, made both with the main native vines of the territory and with famous international varieties, particularly suitable for the Mediterranean and windy climate of this corner of Sicily. The vineyards are managed in organic farming, in harmony with the surrounding nature. The wines soon carved out an important space for themselves in the Sicilian panorama due to their excellent quality and faithfulness to the characteristics of the terroir. They are labels that manage to transfer the authentic flavors of Sicily, the warmth of the sun and the iodine and savory sensations of the sea into the glass.

The Nero d'Avola of the Bausa Red Wine is the expression of a particular native vine of Sicily. For centuries it has been of fundamental importance in the production of many Sicilian wines, although its use as a blending wine prevails. And it is only from the 70s of the last century that serious experimentation on this vine finally began, in order to study and enhance it. This wine, today, is defined as the prince of Sicilian vines.

Bausa Tasting Notes:

The color of the Bausa Red Wine is intense ruby ​​red, almost impenetrable, of good clarity and consistency, the typical varietal characters are recognisable, such as: hints of plum, black cherry in spirit, with notes of violet and spices (nutmeg and nails carnation), upon opening, intense nuances of tobacco are recognised. In the mouth it is dry, fruity with good acidity, the warmth and sensation of velvety tannins stand out.

How to combine Bausa:

It is an ideal wine to be paired with mature cheeses, such as our Gustosi Sentieri cheeses and for important first courses, red meats and game. Serving temperature 16 20°C.
